Information will be available at the school. A bus will leave Whittier located at 23rd Street & Wolcott at 4pm. We encourage you to bike the route.

Enjoy an entertaining 2 hour bus tour through the heart of Pilsen and visit a select group of beautiful community and school gardens in Pilsen. Tour will include some stops at murals along the route. The last garden will have a small reception where winners of the Garden Tour Raffle will be announced. Pilsen gardens exemplify the importance of conservation. They contain Monarch Butterfly sanctuaries, Native Prairie plantings, Organic vegetable gardens, Creative Re-use and recycling. The garden walk is sponsored by Alianza Verde - Greening Alliance, a coalition of Pilsen gardens that support Green initiatives, more green space, wildlife and environmental conservation. We're a grassroots volunteer organization. We welcome new members who share our interests. 

Admission is free. Donations are welcome.

RECAP: Infinite Ripples of Peace March (taken from ElevArte mail)On Thursday, March 21, 2013 ElevArte Community Studio and Changing Worlds kicked off the springtime with a youth peace march in the Pilsen neighborhood. Our participation in the Ten Thousand Ripples (TTR) project comes at a crucial moment when violence in Chicago neighborhoods is on a rise. This is our way of contributing to peace efforts in our neighborhood by bringing community together through the arts. Learn more about this project at www.elevartestudio.org
