Snowball fight in the garden today!

Our Buddha head has arrived! Thank you to my husband for taking delivery since I couldn't be there to receive it, and thank you to everyone involved with the Ten Thousand Ripples project.

Stopped by the garden this morning briefly to put some salt down on the sidewalk since we're expecting icy conditions. Had to stop and take this pic. Love the colors in here!

Finally Snow!

We trekked out to the garden Saturday for some snow clean up. We finally have snow! We had a great season last summer with lots of young teenagers hanging out in the garden for the first time. Very nice as they tend to take ownership when they are there. I look forward to another great season like last year.
Though we are still far away from summer we still have some great things happening. Look for our Buddha sculpture to be delivered sometime this week. Ten Thousand Ripples is part of a city wide peace project. Paseo de Jardines 3rd Annual Garden Walk

Joins us Saturday, August 11th from  4-6pm for our 3rd Annual Pilsen Garden Walk! We encourage you to bike the route, and will also have a bus that leaves Orozco Elementary School at 4pm from the school parking lot. The bus will be stopping at select community gardens.
